Policies and Procedures
Preparing for your In Home Massage
Create space for yourself to relax and receive the full benefits of your experience. Take a bath or a shower beforehand to warm the muscles in preparation for the massage.
Be sure to have an area of 6 feet by 9 feet for the massage table and for your therapist to have room to work, preferably on the first floor. Living rooms are a great place for massage, as long as it will be free from distraction.
Your therapist will arrive 15 min early to set up for the massage. This usually takes two trips, please mention on the intake form if there are any stairs or entry instructions. Please allow 10-15 min after the experience for your therapist to pack up.
Preparing for Studio Treatments
Please arrive no more than 5 min early. This is a space for referrals only, please send a message if you would like to receive a special booking link and indicate who referred you to Massage Summit.

First time getting a massage?
What you should know:
Please tell your therapist if your health has changed since you filled out the intake form. Prior to the massage, we will talk about your goals for the session.
You will undress to your level of comfort. Having nothing on is the best way to receive a massage. For instance, if you are having low back problems, a lot of the time the legs and the buttocks need to be worked on and the therapist will have an easier time without the restriction of underwear.
You will get on the table, underneath the top sheet and blanket, facing up or facing down on the face rest. The table will be heated, please let your therapist know your temperature preferences.
Your therapist will only undrape the section of the body being worked on and the draping works best if you are totally relaxed. Allow yourself to be heavy and unwind into a dreamy, meditative state. The therapist may do some stretching of the limbs, please let the therapist know if you have any joint restrictions.
You will not want to get off the table, but know that massage is recommended once a month! Start your physical self care monthly routine today!
